EUCHARIST
THIS IS 'REAL' SOUL FOOD!
DID YOU KNOW? The birthplace of Jesus - Bethlehem - means "house of bread." Many ancient commentators interpreted this as prefiguring the Eucharist. Jesus came to earth in the "house of bread" and comes to us in the form of Living Bread every time we receive him in the Blessed Sacrament.

Eating wounded us - Eating heals us!
Pope Urban IV

"Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God say, 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?"
The Apple and The Serpent
And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden; but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it lest you die.' "But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good from evil." So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate." [Genesis 3:1ff]
EATING WOUNDED US. . .

"The devil is called Satan, ancient serpent and snake, is himself the one who seduces the whole world, who battles against those who guard the Commandments of God and who have witness of Jesus. From the beginning he is designated the adversary of men and man-killer. When through sin he made men libel to death. Because by means of his snares he provokes men to disregard God, he is called "Tempter", "Liar" and "Father of Lies". Who acts cunningly and falsely, just as [at] the seduction of our first parents...
The "Father of lies" [Jn. 8:44] calls God a liar [Genesis 3:5] and is still lying to mankind. Satan is the "beguiler' [Gen. 3:13]. It is he who told Eve, "You will not die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,".
Satan doesn't want you to be like God!
God wants you to be like God. Jesus said. . . "I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever;" [John 6:51] So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;" [John 6:53]
EATING HEALS US. . .
Top Ten Reasons To Remain Roman Catholic
God wants us to eat the Body of His Son and drink His Blood [John 6:51-56] so that we too might become "partakers in the divine nature" [2 Peter 1:4] and have "life in us" [Jn. 6:53]. *
Satan, speaking through others; says; "Don't eat - this is idolatry." Today - there are "some" who say to worship a piece of "bread" as God is idolatrous! When Catholics eat the Body of Christ & Drink His Blood, they say, it is nothing more than modern day paganism! They say that; "Eating this bread is bad, and that it will take you further away from the true God." Instead of becoming like God you will draw away from God. You will be caught in a cult of "false-religion" and "ritual-worship". "Stay away", they will say - or at the very least, they will say, "do not believe in the 'Real Presence' of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.''

Summary: "Eating wounded us - Eating heals us!"

In the beginning the "father of lies" said "eat". God told Adam & Eve, "Do not Eat".
Now God tells us to "Eat". Satan (the father of lies) tells us "Do not Eat".

 *
"On the night he was betrayed our Lord Jesus Christ took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples and said: “Take, eat: this is my body”. He took the cup, gave thanks and said: “Take, drink: this is my blood”. Since Christ himself has declared the bread to be his body, who can have any further doubt? Since he himself has said quite categorically, This is my blood, who would dare to question it and say that it is not his blood?

Therefore, it is with complete assurance that we receive the bread and wine as the body and blood of Christ. His body is given to us under the symbol of bread, and his blood is given to us under the symbol of wine, in order to make us by receiving them one body and blood with him. Having his body and blood in our members, we become bearers of Christ and sharers, as Saint Peter says, in the divine nature."  (St. Cyril of Jerusalem - Early Church Father & Doctor of The Church)
