LUKE 10:16 "Whoever listens to you listens to me."

Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."
Luke 10:16

The following is taken from an online sharing with a close friend.
We have already gone over much Scripture in our conversations that show the
Catholic Church to not only be a Bible Church, but also that the Catholic Church was
established by God. [Mt. 16:18-19]
It seems to me that as I share The Bible with you; you head away from the meaning
and understanding I am sharing. I feel bad and uneasy about this. Why when Jesus
says He founds His Church on Peter you say He never founded a Church? You say
our only teaching is in the Bible? Where does The Bible say this? Actually Jesus says
the complete opposite. Speaking to His Apostles, He says that anyone who listens to
them, listens to Him and whoever rejects them rejects Him. [Lk. 10:16]
The Catholic Church is the only Church that can trace a direct like of Bishops back to
the Apostles.
I care about you and so I could never lie to you just to please you. Rather I would share
the truth, with love. [Eph 4:15]
Jesus started The Church. He never wrote a single word down other than in the dirt!
[Jn 8:6]
He gave us His Church founded on St. Peter. [Mt 16:18-19] St. Paul referred to St.
Peter as 'rock'. [Gal. 1:18] Why would he do that? If St. Peter is only an equal to St.
Paul and his name is Simon? Why? I will tell you. Because Paul saw Peter as The
Rock that Christ built His Church on.
If The Bible is our only authority, then why do you accept the teaching of a minister?
Or
For that matter a commentary or concordance? If we accept The Bible alone as our
authority we would have to have an original copy. Because to accept any other, would
mean that we are accepting the interpretation of someone. The false premise that our
only Authority is The Bible can not stand up to close scrutiny.
How could Jesus come over 2,000 yrs ago, and now the truth is told?
How is that possible?
For the first 1400 yrs, before the invention of the Printing Press, the only Bibles that
existed where property of the rich or The Church. The Church because they were
charged by Christ to go out and spread The Gospel. [Mt 28:18-20]
St. Peter says that only those who ate and drank with Christ were commissioned to go
out and preach. [Acts 10:40-42]
St. Paul studied at the feet of St. Peter. [Gal 1:18]
St. Peter says that no prophecy of Scripture is open to personal interpretation. [2 Pt.
1:20]
Personally I couldn't be satisfied attending any other Church than the One Christ
founded on Simon the man He called Peter or rock!
I know a Godly, Christian lady only from the Internet. She shared with me that Jesus placed "Unity of the Believers" on her heart as a priority. She believes that she carries this calling out by belonging to a "Non-Denominational" Church. The following is my answer to her.
