JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES AND THE TRINITY
John 8:58  Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham
came to be, I AM."

Saturday I was talking with two Jehovah's Witnesses. I asked them if they believed that
Jesus was St. Michael The Archangel? They said that they did and they started to tell
me why. I countered that in The New Testament Jesus referred to Himself as the "I Am"
(part of where the title for my web site comes from -
iamonetruth), comparing Himself
to God the Father, using the same title, thereby showing that they were one and the
same in some way.
John 8:58  Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to
be, I AM."

I explained to them that in The Book of Revelation Jesus is referred to as The Alpha & The
Omega, a title reserved for God under The Old Covenant or Old Testament, as most people
refer to it.

Since they do not accept the teaching of The Trinity I shared with them.
That for mankind to understand God is like a maggot trying to comprehend a human being.

As humans we like to put everything in a neat little box but the reality is that if we can
understand anything about our Creator it is no less than a miracle.
Then I quoted St Augustine on the study of the Trinity;
"Trying to understand the Trinity is like emptying the ocean with a cup".
We can understand something but it will fall far short of the complete truth.

A Catholic friend standing by, prayed for me while I was sharing, a good thing to do if they
come to your door, that is, to ask your family to pray for the conversation as you share.

She mentioned, afterwards, that humans and maggots are finite. While God is infinite!

Remember that you do not need a tremendous amount of knowledge to counter false
teaching. In fact, to share too much information is counter productive. Pray before, during and
after!
