In Remembrance
by Katherine Karras
"Take my body," Jesus said
As he offered them the bread.
Later, he served them wine.
It's my blood, it will be shed.
You'll remember when I'm dead
Take and drink the fruit of the vine.
It's for your sins I must die
But on this you can rely
I'll live on into eternity.
When you take this bread and wine
Fill your hearts with love divine
In communion you are joined with me.
